About Dr. Roz Kaplan

Rosalind Kaplan, MD is a General Internist practicing in Haverford, Pennsylvania. She graduated summa cum laude with a BA in biochemistry and psychology from Brandeis University, then went on to earn her MD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.  She then completed residency training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.  She also completed a clinical fellowship in psychosomatic medicine with the Philadelphia Psychoanalytic Association.

Dr. Kaplan has been practicing primary care medicine with a special interest in medical complications of eating disorders for 19 years.  Dr. Kaplan writes creative nonfiction, mostly related to medical issues and practice.  For the last two years, she has taught Narrative Medicine to first and second year medical students at Temple University School of Medicine. Her book, Patient in the White Coat is her first full-length book.
